Lyra/Aerial Hoop is a metal circle that is suspended from a single point. Students will work on entrances, balances, and dismounts and build their tolerance for spinning as well as their overall strength, flexibility, and body awareness on the apparatus. Students will also gain a clear understanding of hollow body and shoulder engagement, understand basic terms: pike, straddle, tuck, point, flex. Students will also progress toward learning sequences, moves and spins, as well as exploring the different types of Lyra configurations.

Take the first step on your tots path to growing into a great performer! This fun class is for circus kiddos age 3 to 6 years old. Our patient and knowledgeable instructors will begin to build your child’s movement foundation through basic strength and flexibility training, tumbling, and aerial. They will also develop spatial awareness and balance working on floor acts such as juggling, jump rope, and tight wire. This well rounded education will allow your son or daughter to develop a love for circus and fitness, and help them get ready to undertake more advanced training as they get older and prep them for the transition into CircNastics.

Our Level I class teaches the basics of silk, a fabric apparatus that students climb and use to wrap their bodies into beautiful positions. In addition, you’ll learn similar positions and tricks on a stationary trapeze or lyra (aerial hoop). Students will also explore a variety of special one-of-a-kind aerial sculptures, learning challenging poses from the aerial artists who created them. The routines you learn will enhance your creativity and channel your inner circus performer. While no prior skill or fitness level is required, beginners should remember that the sessions will be challenging, but worth the effort.

The art of Rope (Corde lisse) is combination of beautiful postures and dramatic drops. Closely related to the art of aerial silk, rope involves executing similar moves on a single hanging rope rather than the two long pieces of fabric. The rope also opens up more possibilities of unique and impressive tricks that are not possible on the silks.

As seen in Cirque shows such as Quidam and Ovo, the Spanish Web is an aerial apparatus similar in appearance and style to the rope/corde-lisse. The web is spun by a base person as the performer gracefully spins while executing tricks. A hand loop is attached towards the top of the web, this is used for the artist to hang freely while spinning.

Students looking to increase overall flexibility will be guided into proper positions for splits and back bends. A mixture of ballet, gymnastics, pilates and yoga techniques will be used to safely open and strengthen the shoulders, hips, back, and other parts of the body to increase strength and gain a wider range of motion. The Dance Trapeze is an aerial apparatus consisting of a bar hung from 2 ropes meeting at a single point to allow spinning in place. Cancellation Policy

Bookings for regularly scheduled classes that are canceled prior to 6 hours from the start of a session will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 6 hours of the start of a session will be charged the full amount due. Any reservations made within these time frames are subject to the same cancellation policies.

TLV reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment up to 24 hours prior to the start of that class, offering a full refund to anyone who has already booked their reservations.
